My DH (65) and I (62) and our adult son and his beautiful wife had a wonderful cruise on the Liberty of the Seas. I was concerned by the negative reviews but I always like to make up my own mind. So here goes...

Embarkation was smooth and relatively painless. We were on the ship within an hour of arriving at the port. The staff could not have been nicer or more courteous.

Accommodations were excellent. DH and I had a promenade room (a great bargain) and DS and DIL had an aft balcony. Our cabin stewards did their jobs almost invisibly and extremely well. We had towel creatures for our amusement and the ice was always full. I did ask to have the duvet with the heavy blanket replaced with a sheet and lighter blanket. This was done immediately and very appreciated. Alas,this is where one of my few complaints comes in. This was our fourth cruise and this was the worst mattress we have ever slept on.
