After reading a few reviews of this particular cruise on the Carnival Liberty, I was a little bit apprehensive. However, overall my finace and I had a wonderful time. I found the food, entertainment, and bars to be top-notch (granted, we didn't see any of the musical shows). The cruise director Felipe was a little less entertaining/boisterous than I have experienced in the past, but I didn't mind. The staff was extremely accommodating, from the servers to the cabin steward. The destinations were beautiful. We did my-time dining, which I like the best. We never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a table. One thing I wasn't expecting was so many native Puerto Ricans on the cruise. I'd say at least 40% of the ship were Spanish-speakers.
Some highlights of the ship:
The alchemy bar: GO THERE! The bartenders are fantastic and make amazing drinks. The Chipotle Pineapple Martini was my favorite. Tijuana is the best bartender there is.
I don't remember which particular balcony category we had, but it was port-side near the front of the ship. I did a lot of research when choosing a stateroom, and I picked this one because it was high enough to be above the casino deck (deck 5) and far from the elevators and the stairs. It was a great room - no excessive noise that we noticed other than people in the hallway.
Go to Marigot!
Kayak and Snorkel
Snorkel Between the Pitons
Beach Day! Wish we had done more.
Went over to St. Johns
