I traveled with a group of friends and family totaling 14 people. My arranged roommate is a long term traveler and I this was my sixth cruise. Although I had read about the Allure of the Seas and had watched a video about the ship, my excitement was matched by my pleasure onboard. Having traveled to Nassau and Cozemel previously, I had planned no excursions but did leave the ship for light shopping as I also did in Falmouth Jamaica. So, with no excursions planned, I was left to explore the ship extensively...which I did.

Travel to the embarkation port from the hotel was seamless as the shuttle picked us up and dropped us off as reserved through the hotel.

Initial exploration of the ship revealed a show place of a vessel with numerous areas of interest such as, sports with the zip line, surf pools, basketball court, and miniature golf course; serenity with numerous pools both hot and cold, restaurant, lounge areas and age restricted to no one under 16; boardwalk with children's shops and activities such as a carousel and outdoor theater for shows and movies, two rock climbing walls; children areas for childcare, child rated movies and other activities; promenade with shops, bars, restaurants, gatherings such as a flash mob, art auction and lectures and other activities such as bingo, card games etc.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D8

The stateroom was adequate and nothing unusual. I had a scooter in the room for a couple of days and that made it smaller, but we did not spend a lot of time in the room so it was ok. Loved having the balcony which adds to the size and utilization of the room. Often when I was in room, roommate was on balcony reading and vice versa. It was very clean and the attendant did a good job of keeping it that way and otherwise being out of our way the rest of the time.
