I have to say that we had a great time on the Carnival Fantasy last week. The service by all the staff was outstanding. After the first dinner the wait staff had your every desire worked out. They knew that I wanted an extra scoop of ice cream with desert, and it was always there. The cabin was just fine. Very clean, with a comfortable bed, and plenty of storage space. Although it was small, we never felt cramped, and besides, all we did was sleep in it. Food was good and got better as the cruise went on. Excellent variety in the dining rooms, and the buffets were well stocked and the theme changed every day. Deserts were fabulous with a huge variety. Pizza left a bit to be desired in my opinion, although others raved about it. We didn't do any excursions because we have both been to the Bahama's a fair amount before, so for us this was a relaxing time. We found the Serenity deck at the back of the ship, and spent a lot of time there reading books. It is an adults only place that is very calm. We did look at the spa and health area, which looks very nice with a huge variety of equipment. The kids programs also looked great with very enthusiastic attendants. The bottom line is that this cruise from Charleston is a truly great value. I don't know how you could put hotel, meals, and travel all together for anything close to the price of this cruise. Plus its so convenient to folks in the Southeast. We both would highly recommend this experience to anyone.

Cabin Review

Ocean View

Cabin 6B

The cabin was what we expected. Certainly not extravagantly decorated, but functional and clean. Good air-conditioning, great shower, lots of storage space, and best of all a comfortable bed. Cute towel animals too.

Port Reviews

Charleston

Compared to Miami or Ft Lauderdale, this port is a bit dated. We did however like having our car stored inside in an old warehouse. The boarding process went reasonably fast and with little hassle. Of course the debarkation was a pain because of customs, but that is par for the course.

Freeport

Really have little to review here as we just walked around the port area and bought a couple of souvenirs.

Nassau

No real review as we have been to Nassau many times, so just stayed on the ship, and enjoyed the solitude.
