Just got off the Breakaway today. We had a group of 11 with us. Met all of our expectations. We were all a little leery after a not so pleasant trip on the Gem last year. While the ports were not that great, the ship was amazing and the staff were all great. Food, except for scrambled eggs, was all good. Rooms were spotless and we had no issues at any time. It was disappointing to not get off in Great Stirrup Cay because of the weather, seas were a little rough, but our excursion credits were on our account immediately and the ship sailed to Nassau early so we had an overnight there which was fine.

We had the ultimate beverage package which worked out perfect. We chose to spend the extra money and dined at cagneys, la cucina and teppanyaki and were not disappointed. We had booked Rock of Ages and Burn the Floor in advance but never went since we had a great time at the other entertainment options offered. We did spend the extra money for the Ice Bar and this was way over rated. Drinks were horrible, room was small, but it was an experience, so don't need to go again.

The one thing norwegian would benefit from would be soda machines for the kids like Royal has. Having kids go to the bar to get soda seems unnecessary and inconvenient, especially for the bar tenders on ship days.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BA

Great cabin. Our attendant RJ was great. A little confusing with having to put your key in the slot to get electric on which hinders charging your cameras or phones. Plenty of storage and roomy bathroom. Plenty of hangars. Balcony small but manageable. Beds were comfy. All in all a great room. Just right for two people.

Port Reviews

Orlando (Port Canaveral)

The wildlife tour was a joke. A guy pulled a snake and an alligator out of crates from his car. That was it. The airboat ride was good, but have been on better ones before. Only saw one alligator which happens, but a lot of money for what was mostly a bus ride.

Nassau

Beautiful island. Did not care for the offered tours so rented a taxi and had our own private tour for the day. Atlantis seems overrated. Too chaotic and a lot of money. Beaches are beautiful.
