This was our second voyage on the Allure and we are now booked for our third in November, this time to the Caribbean. We have also cruised on the Oasis and have simply fallen in love with this class of ship. Someday soon we hope to give the Quantum Class a try. My only real complaint for the Mediterranean cruise is that there was so much it was a bit overwhelming. The ports were incredible as were the excursions. This left little time to enjoy the incredible ship. We are thinking of just staying on the ship this next time since we have already seen all the ports. Okay, so my only criticism is really a compliment.

We are definitely spoiled since reaching Diamond status a couple of cruises ago, it really is a great benefit. We pre-booked four specialty restaurants then did free style dining the rest of the time. We had no trouble just walking in and getting seated. The Windjammer Buffet gets really busy but it is excellent. Our specialty restaurants were Izumi Hibachi (we don't like Sushi but we love Hibachi) Chops, Giovanni's and 150 Park Ave. We did not care for 150 Park Ave since it was a bit snooty, with tiny servings of relatively unappealing items in our opinion. The others were excellent. We previously tried Sambas Grill and will again on out next cruise. I suggest if you dine at Sambas not to fill up on the salad bar because the Brazilian meat carving will astound you.

The entertainment wasn't as good as our previous Oasis Class cruises but with five ports to visit we didn't miss it. The main thing missing was a big production like Cats, Chicago, Hairspray etc. Our next cruise will include a full 3 hour production of Mama Mia, WOW!

Cabin Review

Central Park View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin C2

We booked the same cabin for our next cruise. This area is perfect for Diamond members since it is just a short walk to the new Diamond Lounge on the same deck. It is nicely located for a view of Central Park. Our cabin had the couch by the balcony door which is what we prefer. Next door has the bed by the balcony door and then back and forth all the way down the hall. The cabin was perfect and our steward was excellent.
