My son, his friend and I flew into Miami the morning of the cruise and took a cab to the terminal. Due to the number of people, the cruisers were set up to enter one of two terminals. Since we were booked in the Haven, we had a special door for entering. When we first went into the place marked Haven, the room was overcrowded and there was no place to sit. They were slow checking people in. It was hot and tempers were short. Once a group of twenty or so were checked in, one of the butlers (I think) escorted the group onto the ship. I think we would have gotten on faster if we didn't have to be escorted. People were already boarding and there didn't seem to be any "special" treatment.

Once on the ship, we were able to go to our rooms or go to the Haven restaurant for lunch. We decided to take our carry ons to the room. Booking a two bedroom family suite, we were expecting lots or room. No. It was not that way. The table had three seats, but we were never really able to sit to eat together. We usually had one at the table, one at the coffee table and one at the desk. The master bedroom was spacious with lots of closet space and a huge bathroom with separate shower and tub and a double vanity. Very nice. My son called the shower "the carwash" due to all the nozzles and jets. The bed was comfortable. The second bedroom was small. There was a sofa (pull out bed) and a pull down bunk. Since my son and friend were sharing the room, it was easier for him to put his clothes in the master and let his friend take the closet in the second room. The storage was not as great, but enough for one person's clothes. The bathroom in the second room was small with just a walk in shower. I was told that there was ample space. The deck was too small. It wasn't easy for the three of us to be out at the same time. We spent very little time on our balcony and enjoyed the amenities of the Haven instead.

the Haven pool area was never crowded, nor was the upper deck sunning area. Very comfortable with loungers and padded clamshells. The main pool was overcrowded and we were unable to walk through much less find chairs. We were so thankful that we had the Haven to go back to once we got through the throngs of people.

Since we had time before out Tiki boat excursion, we took a taxi tour of the island. We were able to see many sights and saved money by getting a tour from the street.
