This was my 4th NCL cruise and 8th cruise in total. We have preferred NCL because of a fantastic experience we had on our first cruise, 2007, including exceptional service, great food, great destinations and great cabins.

Sadly, with each cruise we have become more and more disappointed. We usually book 2 suites to accommodate our large family and this comes with a butler/concierge. On our first cruise our butler was very attentive. He was the highlight of our trip and made us want to be NCL cruisers for life. Now they just seem to follow the motions with stock standard responses to any questions/resquests.

This is the same for the food and entertainment. Although we have previously raved about the dining on NCL it has definitely dropped in standard. The Le Bistro, Cagneys and Teppanyaki restaurants (extra charge) are still good but the main dining was very average. Eg- Dry chicken, passing roast beef off for strip loin steak, flavourless desserts.
