This was our 4th cruise and our 3rd with Celebrity. The other 3 were in the Mediterranean so we wanted to do somewhere different. After staying in Southampton overnight we arrived at the cruise terminal for about 10.30 and were aboard soon after 11.00 - no problems at all. After our complimentary glass of fizz we headed up to the Ocean View Cafe and bagged a table. As we had been on the Reflection and Silhouette previously we knew the set up and were fairly comfortable with it. We had lunch and wandered around until the cabins were ready about 1.30. The cabin was as expected with a large bed, large bathroom and perfectly enough storage for all our clothes and belongings.

We ate all our evening meals in the Moonlight Sonata. We were select diners but usually ate relatively early - 6.30 - 7.00 in order to get to the first show of the evening. The menus were varied and the food cooked to a high standard. Our waiter Gosti, assistant waiter Dewi and sommelier Alina were absolutely brilliant - nothing was too much trouble and they never stopped smiling. We felt no need to pay extra to eat in any of the specialty restaurants. We ate our breakfasts and lunches in the Oceanview Cafe and were happy with the choices and quality of the food. The cafe did tend to get crowded but we never had problems getting a seat after a bit of a wander. The Cafe al Bacio was also great for a coffee, snack and sit down during the day.We were happy with the food overall but felt that the late night selection in the Oceanview Cafe could have been a bit more varied.

We were very happy with entertainment on the ship. All the shows in the theatre were of a high standard and some were especially good - comedian Mike Doyle and ventriloquist Gareth Oliver in particular. The house band Solitaire were all over the place playing and other entertainers were also very good. The Cruise Director Sue Denning and her team were conspicuous by their presence at all times of the day and night and did a fine job with entertainment, activities and being available to passengers whenever needed.
