Day 1 – Arrived at Southampton City Terminal at 10.30am, parked car & luggage was taken from us at the car and we then walked across the road into the Terminal. This was our first cruise as ‘Elite’ level in Captains Club & we were directed to a Priority Check in desk and then straight onto the Ship all within 15 mins !

Greeted onboard with a glass of champagne or orange juice, we then immediately went straight up to Solstice Deck to take some photos. We worked our way down to Deck 3 taking photos & filming whilst the ship was relatively empty. Around 12.30pm we went back up to Deck 14 and in to the Oceanview Cafe for Lunch. The staterooms opened at 1pm so we were able to start our unpacking as our cases had arrived outside our stateroom #1658 Deck 11 Starboard Aft. There was a bottle of Champagne some fresh fruit and a tray of canapés to greet us as we arrived into our stateroom which was a C2 Concierge Class. Muster was at 3.45pm after which we went back up and onto our Balcony for our Champagne Sailaway down Southampton Water. We had booked Select Dining (My Time Dining) and went down to the Moonlight Sonata Dining Room on Deck 4 at around 6.30pm for Dinner. After Dinner we enjoyed the 1st of many terrific shows in the Eclipse Theatre and we met our fabulous Cruise Director Sue Denning who sang along with the wonderful Singers & Dancers on Eclipse.

Day 2 – We woke up to a very unexpectedly calm North Sea & we could see lots of Oil/Gas Rigs. After Breakfast and a walk around the Ship we settled into the Solarium for an afternoon of relaxation. After Dinner we watched Edge The Show in the Theatre which was very good.

Concierge Class 2

Cabin C2

Lots of storage & space for my husband, myself & our 18yr old Son ! Maria & Eric looked after us fabulously & we would have this stateroom again as it was very quiet !

Port Reviews

Flam

Wonderful views from the Train and the waffles, cream, jam & Tea at the Hotel at the top of the track were very welcome !!

Bergen

Very definitely the Best Way to See Beautiful Bergen !!

Geiranger

Our favourite Port of Call, spectacular scenery. We walked to the top of the Waterfall walk - Not for the Faint-hearted - but oh so worth it for the views from the top !!

Alesund

Beautiful port and town to wander around, shop prices a bit high, but this is Norway !

Stavanger

Another very pretty Port & Town to wander around...
