Although we usually travel on oceania we picked the Royal Princess June 8th British Isle cruise for price and for taking a 14 year old with us. We were in a mini suite mid ship and I was pleasantly surprised at the couch bed our grandson slept on. I will say that the shower tub was only OK..I would have preferred a larger shower and no tub. It made the bathroom very small and the door intruded into the closet space when opened.

The food was certainly adequate although the pastry in the buffet was not great. The dining pastry was good so there is something amiss there. Like all ships there is a tendency to want to sell you. What I call nickel and dime you. I.E. ice cream on piazza, special coffees, water for tours. On the other hand they had free soft ice-cream upstairs and pop corn for the movies. Dining service is very slow in less you ate in the Allegro dining room. There is was great.

There is discrimination on the bus pickup for the tours. Lots of help getting to the Princess buses but at almost all the ports the independent buses/vans were outside the main dock. That certainly led to some confusion. We didn't take any Princess tours because of the large size groups and pricing. I used trip advisor and found great ones at much better prices.
