First time cruise, LOVED it! We have no reference point but we thought Norwegian was excellent. The Crusie director Richard was simply amazing. The food was good, the entertainement was fun and my kids loved the security and freedom that was offered by the cruise. For us each day simply got better with the final day visit to the Hubbard Glacier really topping off a great week. I loved the whale watching and we saw hundreds of whales and porpoises over the course of the week. Strongly recommend nature lovers to spend plenty of time on the deck walking around and spotting as we did. We were served up some wonderful whale watching day after day. Took the helicpoter to the glacier which was a thrill. The helicopter ride trumped most everything as you feel like you are in the introduction to the Jurrasic Park or World movie....White water rafting in Denali was fantastic. Wathcing the Salmon run in Ketchican was great. The Lumber Jack show is for younger kids although my 10 and 13 year olds loved it. Juneau whale watch was good but the rain killed it. Loved the Denali extended tour seeing 8 Grizzly bears, moose, caribou, Dahl sheep and much more. I am still convinced that Mt McKinley doesnt exist!
SMALL! Bed was comfortable, but far too little space for clothing and unpacking. Fortunately we spent very little time in the room as it was purely for sleeping. To quote my mother who was on the ship with us.... "You couldnt swing a cat in here" Our room was kept very clean and tidy by the steward (Sam) who was delightful.
Simply amazing. We had a glorious weather day. DO NOT sleep through the ride up the bay. We got up early and saved seats in the observation lounge which was a wise move. The beauty and splendour of the entire day will stay with me forever.
This was simply a pass through no comment
