I have been on quite a few cruises, and I hate to say, this was one of my least favorite. I loved everything about Alaska - I loved the cities we visited and the excursions available. I hated everything about the cruise. On the very first day, we walk into our room and the air conditioner is broken. Even after telling the guy in charge of our floor, it still had not been fixed by the next day. Also, the excursion tickets left in our room were not for our room but for another room, and then had someone else's tickets and so on. My dad purposefully booked everything ahead of time so he wouldn't have to wait in line on the ship... which he had to then do because when we finally received our envelope it was missing a bunch of excursions that we already paid for. The next day we find out our favorite excursion was cancelled due to lack of participants which was a real bummer.

There are no enough restaurants on the ship for lunch time. The main dining hall is not open long enough (maybe 11am-1pm - and most people come back from their excursions after 1pm) and the lunch buffet is the same exact food every day. The pizza bar was also supposed to be open every day/night and it wasn't. The drink machines weren't fill up regularly. Nothing was open late night in terms of food. No concessions/snacks, no restaurants, no bars. Not even late night ice cream. The one bar that was open late closed at 1am and was always empty. The bathroom also ran out of toilet paper quite a few times which should never happen.

There isn't much for young teens/young adults/anyone ranging from 20-30 to do during days at sea. Sure they have the pool and outdoor sports (most of the days it was too cold/windy). Other than the cruise games like bingo or juggling, there wasn't much to do. The arcade is very small... and way overpriced. The gym was actually the best part of the cruise. They had awesome classes and trainers.

Cabin Review

Balcony

My recommendation, get a cabin with a balcony and do not room with 4 people. If there are more than 2 people, get a suite!

The cabin was very small. Barely any room for 4 people and their suitcases. The balcony great! The tv had some awesome channels. The bathroom was small but nice. The room was always clean and they left very nice towel animals for us every night. The bed was comfortable, and the futon wasn't too bad either. It's just way too small for a family of 4.
