The Viking Star is a brand new ship and it is very nice. With a few tweaks it could've been great. The room was adequate in size but the walls were not sound proof and we had to call front desk to get our neighbor to turn down his TV so we could sleep.

I loved the large bubbly pool in the spa area and the sauna and steam room(when it was working) were nice. The snow room was fun to look at but unnecessary. The hot tub was too shallow and sat only three people comfortably so was way too small and the ladder to get in and out was difficult to use for an able-bodied person and impossible for the age group on Viking. The hot tub by the large pool upstairs was better size-wise but the one by the infinity pool was also too small.

The advertised wifi only worked sporadically and was dial-up slow most of the time. It was strange how emails would go through but messages wouldn't and Facebook didn't load. Maybe some sites are being blocked?
