We did have a delay in checking in with the new system they were trying but it was not a problem for us and we were still on board in plenty of time to have some lunch and look around to get some bearings. This was only our 3rd cruise and we absolutely loved it. As others have said there were a few teething problems, e.g. technical issues ensuring everyone was on board before departure but that is only to be expected with someone new.

We thought our cabin was great with plenty of storage and hanging space. The shower was great and our cabin was kept spotlessly clean by our steward. All the staff made you feel at ease wherever you went. We always found somewhere to sit in the Merdian and loved the way the seating was laid out in comparison to the other two cruises we have been on, We always found somewhere to sit no matter where we went and agree that it never felt overcrowded bearing in mind the amount of people on the ship.

Our only negative was the quality of the photos taken by the photographers and only found 1 female photgrapher that really took great care in the detail and we even managed to get one photo without people in the background which was the last formal night.

Cabin Review

Cabin Balcony

Very clean and plenty of storage space, great shower and flat screen tv. Cabin adequate for our needs and used it a lot.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We walked around the town and you can see that they are trying to improve it and quite pretty when you first get into the town. Unfortunately it is spoilt by lots of broken bottles etc. on the beech area. Pleasant enough to walk around though.

Barcelona

We did a bus tour but it was very hot and it took 2 hours and was quite frustrating as there were so many traffic lights the bus just kept stopping so frequently. Very busy and built up town.

Monaco (Monte Carlo)

Monaco was lovely and walked around the F1 circuit, looked at the shops and yachts and had a leisurely drink. Next time need to get to the casino.
