My husband and I took the 11 day Baltic cruise on the Regal Princess in June of 2015. We both thought the ship was beautiful. It was elegantly decorated, well thought out, and extremely clean. I noticed that other cruise reviews mentioned how large the ship was and it may definitely be something to be considered. I like the fact that the ship never seemed too crowded as there were so many public areas. My husband felt it was too big...too far to walk to get to anything.

Generally speaking we had a great trip...the ship was great, most of the ports were great and we thought the quality of the food on the ship was superb. We enjoyed the various choices at the Horizon Court and thought the specialty restaurants were amazing. We especially liked Crown Grille and thought it was a great value for what you got. Our biggest complaint was with service in both the dining room as well as our cabin attendant. The service in the dining room was extremely slow and the waiters seemed as if they were not at all happy. Our cabin attendant was nice enough but also seemed as if anything we asked him for was a bother. He was definitely not the overly-friendly attendant we've had in the past on other cruise lines. We also notice our suite didn't appear to be vacuumed the entire week. We had booked an Owner's Suite which is one of the highest suite categories. We have sailed on other cruise lines and booked "suites" that were far less expensive and provided more amenities and, certainly, better service. Our suite D726 was beautiful....it was very well appointed. I will say that the sitting area is a bit on the small side but the bathroom was wonderful as was the size of the bedroom. There were 2 very large closets with plenty of room for everything. The wrap around balcony was great and provided magnificent views when going/coming in to ports. The only comment related to the room was that the satellite tv didn't work very well. We would lose signal very frequently and if you called the desk they would say they were aware.

Our biggest complaint was with the service for the suite. There seemed to be confusion about what we were entitled to and weren't. We would call for bottles of water and for the first few days we didn't sign for them and they were free. Suddenly one day we were asked to sign and after asking the desk they said that we were not entitled to free water. We would ask for chocolate covered strawberries and somedays were charged...somedays not. We would go to the concierge lounge and there were limited offerings of food throughout the day. We had been on other cruise lines that offered hot hors'doeuvres in the evenings along with cocktails. Not so on Princess.
