This was our second trip on the Navigator, our first with our two daughters, ages 20 & 24. After our first trip on the Navigator, my first cruise vacation, my wife and I learned what we liked and didn’t like and made the necessary adjustments for this trip.

First of all, having family around always makes vacation more fun. It is also nice to know that we have memories to share that will certainly last a lifetime. The girls had their own stateroom so we were all able to vacation on our own schedules. We did meet for dinner every night and when convenient, had breakfast and lunch together. We went on shore excursions together, but while on the ship we usually went our separate ways.

On our first trip we had an interior stateroom and spent very little time in it. This meant that we spent a lot of time wandering around the ship looking for things to do, and there are plenty. This made for a busy week that was fun, but not very relaxing as we felt the need to spend every hour at the pool, a show, or one of the many other activities. If you get bored on a cruise, you are not trying!
