Sail Date: May 2015
Cabin: Junior Suite

We are in our mid 50s and only two of 19 Australians on this sailing. Whilst we are regular cruisers and are hard and fast Azamara and Celebrity fans we really enjoyed our Liberty experience. There were however pros and cons. We chose this sailing after celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in NYC on May 4, so this sailing was well timed for us. The ship I feel was the destination. Enjoyed the sea days but not the ports of call so much. The stays were very short and we felt we could have used more time in st Maarten and San Juan. Whilst Lababee was 'pretty' I couldn't get myself past the ridiculous prices and the history of Hati and the contrast I know exists between the 'have's' visiting and the islands 'have not'. I won't say any more but it rested heavily on my conscience.

What we enjoyed (and there was lots) Chops Grille, food and service was outstanding!, our Junior Suite on deck 9, extremely comfortable, loved the coffee machine, in fact there was nothing that we didn't like about the room. The 'in the air' , Ice shows' and Saturday night fever were great. Actually there was no RCL entertainment we didn't like. The promenade was stunning. Onboard shopping fine, Photoshop well organised. The CD Luke is an asset to the ship. Parades were fun, 70s party was unreal! Loved the ambience and the mood in the two diamond club venues. Met lots of lovely people. Appreciated the helpfulness of guest relations and their good manners to me despite the people preceding me being extremely rude and complaining about the most trivial of things.

We we didn't enjoy: the complainers that complain about anything! I can't believe what some people complain about, get real, plan to enjoy yourselves rather than going out of your way to find fault. You only make yourselves miserable and there was plenty of miserable people around. For heavens sake they are catering for 4100 people and I think they do it very well. Sure there were little hiccups along the way but it's how you interact with other human beings that will find you an appropriate resolution. The windjammer food was okay if you like buffets. Our my time dinning experience wasn't that of our experiences on Celebrity and Azamara (and RcL could take some lessons) but at the end of the day the ship was full and you weren't going to starve. Struggle with just how much people piled on their plates only to leave most of it untouched in many cases. We weren't blown away by the main dining room food but it was probably more our own choice of menu items. Yes the dining room chairs could do with a face lift but I'm sure they would be on the maintance plan.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Excellent position, plenty of storage, nothing we didn't like.would have liked a firmer pillow and requested one but when one wasn't available our cabin attendant Sandra provided a satisfactory solution. Nothing less than a junior suite for us as we loved it very much.
