Really disappointed in the Liberty of the Seas, and Royal Caribbean in general.

This cruise was the 3rd for my wife and I (all on RC), and it was the second time we have taken this itinerary from NJ. We previously did it in 2012 on The Explorer of the Seas.

In general my wife and I enjoyed ourselves.. but that was in spite of numerous issues we had on and off the ship. I will say right now that I can not recommend this ship and will never step onboard again. I also will reconsider my loyalty to RC if this is representative of what they are becoming. Definitely several steps down from our great experiance in 2012.

Interior Stateroom

Cabin M

I was quite surprised at how nice this cabin was because it was one of the least expensive available. Plenty of room for us to store all our clothes which says a lot. We brought several suitcases worth of stuff and it all packed away easily. The only nit I would give is the light switch for the bathroom was on the wrong side of the door. Open door, remember you have to turn the light on first, close door, turn light on, then re-open door.

Being on the back of the ship we did feel movement but it didn't bother us.

Only a short walk to the aft elevators and right near the dining areas and pools.

King's Wharf

Bermuda is a wonderful destination and there is plenty to do there. Don't feel obligated to take a excursion from your cruise ship. The public buses are excellent, and there are ferries as well.

One popular destination you can't miss is Horseshoe Bay. It costs $9 round trip to get there (if you use bus tokens). Once you get there you can rent chairs and umbrellas for $11 each, and they have food/drink available (as well as toilets and etc). Big beach, very clean, very pretty, very nice water, but don't expect pink sand as it isn't as pink as they say it is. :)

We have also taken the boat tours around the island. The views are very pretty but the water can be a little cold at times.

San Juan

Forget the excursions. Do not fall into the "Rainforest" tourist trap (nothing more then a ghetto tour followed by leaves and a small waterfall). Just hang out in Old San Juan. Plenty of shops. Plenty of things to see. You don't need a tour guide. Have lunch and enjoy some of the local food.
