We really enjoyed our cruise from Rome to Barcelona. It was our second time on the Zuiderdam in the last two years with the one before doing the Panama Canal. We thought the service was really good but that the entertainment was really weak especially compared to the cruise we took before and other cruises we have been on. The comedian was our favorite with the young violinist coming in second. The ship's entertainers were not that good. Should have had more comedy. This was our fourth cruise with HAL and will have more.

We enjoyed most ports of call but on a few of the really small stops we just spent a little time on our own as there was not a lot that interested us. We booked all our excursions on our own using the internet and then found people on CC to join us to form a small group of 6 or 8 which made for a lot better tour. We had great people join us. It makes it cheaper than the cruise line tours and usually you get to see a lot more and you don't have to deal with fifty people getting on and off a bus. All our tours were great.

Our cabin on deck six was very nice and we had a few issues but they were corrected as soon as we asked except one it took twice but they were at least trying to get it right.
