Sail Date: Apr 2015
Cabin: Large Ocean-View Stateroom

We took the 22-night Adriatic-Eastern Mediterranean cruise (Rome – Venice – Rome), sailing 14 April, ending on 6 May 2015. As noted by others, this was the first cruise after the two-week dry dock and re-fit, and the ship had a range of serious problems that others have described well.

Fortunately our cabin (Oceanview on the Main Deck) did not suffer the shower or toilet problems that others did experience … our cabin issues were limited to no minibar stock-up at the start of the cruise, or water in the room during it.

However in our corridor – we were forward of the midship port-side elevators – we did experience unpleasant sewage odours on quite a few of the 22 days, especially in the second half, and most noticeably when a major door off this corridor was opened allowing HAL shore excursion passengers to disembark via a separate gangway.

Cabin Review

Large Ocean-View Stateroom

Oceanview on the Main Deck: no problems with it, and well located on the ship, and close to the Front Desk, gangway, stairs/elevators and more. Actually had better room (better use of space) than the more expensive Verandah Cabins.
