Oceanview on the Main Deck: no problems with it, and well located on the ship, and close to the Front Desk, gangway, stairs/elevators and more.  Actually had better room (better use of space) than the more expensive Verandah Cabins.

The Internet dilemmas include:

● if it were provided at low or no cost, it would be instantly and totally clogged with users, and the cruise companies could not (or would not) support the cost of the bandwidth actually required;

● at the current rates charged, the service should be very reliable and reasonably fast, however it is neither of these, leading to many disgruntled passengers;

● if it were much more expensive (to lower demand), then there would still be many disgruntled passengers who are used to the Internet being available free or at reasonable cost;

● if Internet connections were only available through the ship’s terminals (in the Crow’s Nest, or elsewhere), then (a) the queues would be unmanageable, (b) administration of it would be a nightmare, and (c) it would be self-defeating, since many users need to use their own devices, and/or can download all their emails and messages quickly, and read them offline, or manage their photos, only if they use their own devices;  without these practices, the service would be even more congested.So in summary, the MDR was not a good place for me, and apart from dinner being marginal, there was no way I would consider lunch or breakfast to be better there than in the Lido … in almost all ways for these two meal times, self-service works much better than fairly pointless à la carte mode.
