I honestly cannot complain. I needed to get away and wanted to take my son and parents and that's exactly what we did. The ship was very large, so I never felt couped up. There was plenty to do and plenty of time to do nothing.
I suppose how you feel about the ship and cruise is what you intend to get out of it. I needed a break. I wanted a week where I didn't have to cook or clean or constantly clean up after my child. I wanted fruity drinks and pools and beaches. I wanted a comfy bed and a beautiful sea view. And I wanted lots of things for my little guy to do to keep him busy.
Splash Academy is full of kind, patient and entertaining children's counselors. Pirate night, PJ party night, all kinds of fun activities were available for the taking for your kids aged 3 and up. There was plenty for under age 3, too, but a parent had to be present.
Our cabin was spacious and suited perfectly for our needs. It connected to room 12856 in which my parents were staying. I was with my 4 year old son, so it was great to open those doors and feel like we had a much bigger area for him to explore (and destroy, lol).
The balcony was a tad small, but we loved sitting out there every given opportunity!
Our cabin steward, Jezreel (Jez), was amazing, he connected with my 4-year-old and took time to talk with us all each day. Our room was always clean and put together whenever we returned from a meal or an excursion.
