New ships are too big with too many passengers That makes it tough to find open tables at the buffet, it's crowded on disembarkation day, and there is even not enough room in the theater to hold all passengers in 1 night(2 shows). Instead of a bigger theater, smaller theater and 4-5 shows are needed to fit all the passengers. It is inconvenient to book shows in advance and there are some nights when passengers have no show to go to.

In addition, services are not as good as the old days (ex: Queen Elizabeth 2 era). In the dining room, you are served professionally but you do not feel welcomed. For these new generation servers, they are just doing a job. New hires do not understand the "customers are always right, always come first' mentality". I suggest that they be encouraged to talk with a cheerful tone and a smile because it can go a long way in terms of atmosphere. Introducing themselves also adds a personal touch.(may be the servers are more friendly and better trained in the Specialty Restaurants where we have to pay extra). I cruise a lot so this is not a surprise to me. I still enjoy cruising as long as I know what to expect.

Back to my review title: BAD LUCK. My cabin steward must be the worst in my 35 cruises. Day 1: no face cloth, glasses in the bathroom for toothbrushes, and there was no luggage mat. Day 2: he forgot the face cloth again. Day 3: had to remind him to refill the soap dispenser. Day 4: no shower mat. Day 6: no free style daily program for the next day. Day 7: no face cloth again. I called the front desk to complain and they told me to write to the Hotel Manager. I wrote to him but never heard from him throughout the voyage.
