Living in Torrevieja in Alicante Spain, we deserved a much needed holiday not having one for the last five years. We booked a last minute cruise package through Logitravel on the Norwegian Spirit.
We decided on driving our own car to Alicante train Station and letting www.parking10.com look after my car for 10 days in underground secure parking. So at 8,30 am 26th of March we met them at Alicante train station at the terminal.
Trains in Spain run on time, our train was ready to leave Alicante to Barcelona at 09,20 am. Train tickets 23 euro each. Arriving in Barcelona at 14,00 hrs. we jumped in first taxi to the Port of Barcelona, 4 people and 4 large cases was 20 euro to the port.
Cabin Review
Mid-Ship Inside
I thought there would be noise from lift. There was no noise from lift. As we booked last minute we booked the cheapest longest cruise possible I will tell you the amazing price we got at the end. We booked two inside cabins on deck 10.
when we got to the cabins I wasn't disappointed, they were compact but had everything a balcony room had except the sea view and balcony. Well the rooms are only for sleeping in.
Port Reviews
Malaga
Malaga has greatly improved , everything is around the port area, we took shuttle bus to town centre then got on horse and cart and it took four of us around the main sights for 30 mins for 30 euros well worth it. the w strolled back through the port market to the ship a lovely relaxing morning.
Barcelona
Barcelona is a tourist hotspot, jump on a tour bus where you can hop on and off at all the famous sights. For me the best bit about Barcelona is getting to the VIP area in the Renfe train station before the long journey home.
