I've cruised at least 12 times before on Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity so I didn't know what to expect on this smaller Grand Celebration. I was pleasantly surprised. First, I used groupon so right off the bat, this was already a good deal. The ship was in good shape, cabins spacious and clean. Granted, you won't get the deluxe toiletries and perks like robes but who cares for the short duration. They will clean your room but for some reason, they don't remove any empty plates or glasses you leave there. Food was good. Like any restaurant, it will have dishes that wasn't done well but most dishes came out delicious. I have to complain the coffee was very watered down but they do have coffee bar (not included) that has better coffee. Dress code for dining room was casual (jeans allowed but not shorts). The entertainment in the theater was surprisingly good but a little repetitive if you go the 2nd night. There's a casino but I'm told no poker available. Boarding was relatively painless although it could take a few hours to get your luggage if you check it in so if you want to go to the pool right away, I suggest you take your swim suits out. Once in Freeport, if you don't want to pay the cruise line endorsed fee of $41/person to take the roundtrip bus to Grand Lucayan resort to use the pool and beach, you can disembark and get a taxi/van to any of the other nice resorts around like Wyndham for $8/person. Disembarkation on the last day could have gone smoother. They keep closing the lines to disembark to accommodate the people coming in for the next cruise and routed us elsewhere. TIP: The line to go through custom for citizens who only brought birth certificate is horrendously long. We brought passports and breezed right through to the envy of those waiting in long, long lines.
