Our trip began on Friday, September 26, 2008. We left the beautiful Northeast Georgia mountains and headed out by car to Port Canaveral, Florida. My traveling companions, by the way, were my mom and my sister. This was my 3rd cruise, my mom's 2nd, and my sister's 1st.

We stayed at the Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral that night prior to our cruise. My mom and I had stayed at this hotel two years ago, and liked the fact that you can leave your car at the hotel during the week, and the hotel has a shuttle that will take you directly to your ship. It is a very nice and clean place to stay, with a resort-like feel. You can actually see the ships come in while there!
