My parents took my sister and I on the Glory for our Mothers birthday. This was my sisters first cruise and I had hoped she and her husband would one day join my husband and I on another cruise. Checking in and embarkation was smooth sailing. Our first day and night at sea were pretty good. Sis, "wasn't impressed!" Ok, maybe day 2 would give her a better feel for life at sea. Day 2, my sister is not a big fan of ton's of food, but this trip, I can say the food wasn't as good as it was on my first trip in March '07. SO. let's forget the food, she is big on exercise, so we went to they gym A LOT! The classes were filled up on the first day, so she had to make do but otherwise the gym is a great place to entertain yourself. Nassau, well Nassau is Nassau, no one can help that is isn't the cleanest place on earth. Out of the ports I have been to, this one has some of the rudest people. Let's talk about public places on the ship: well, most are so smokey you can't breath. IF, you are a smoker then this is the ship for you. If you are allergic as I am...well, take along all your allergy meds. You have to go through these areas to get most places. We had adjoining balcony rooms and this was great, IF there were no smokers out. We had the steward open the door between ours and we spent a lot of time out there. The shows were the exact same shows from 'O7 except they had a different male singer and bless his heart, he tried! The female singer was the same one and she has a great voice, but the same shows were boring so I didn't sit through too many of them. Now Marcus Anthony...well, he could have stayed on and done the show each night and I would have loved that! I know this is not Vegas, but if you have sailed RC, then you know they could do better. This is a clean well taken care of ship. It could use some up dating and I hope with it's move in the future it will get some. St. Maarten we took the 4x4 excursion, it is a very small 4X4 and if you are taller than 5 foot you may want to re consider this one. The tour however was great and we really learned about the island. There are very friendly people here. These people who work here work hard and they make little money. They are very proud people. The beaches are great!

St. Thomas, we took the island tour. I think it was about $50 a person. It was quick up and quick down. We are going back Oct 15 "on RC" and taking Sunny Liston's tour. We hear it is the bomb around here and is just $25 per person. Those Banana Daiquiris are oh so good!!!!!

We did have some fun on board, though the medication was strong to be able to stand the public areas...and yes, that is part of it. I know other ships have better ventilation so I know they could update this as well. It was my last trip on board the Glory one because it is moving two because it just wasn't up to par this go round. There are the most friendly people who work for this cruise line. These people work for mainly tips from us the consumer. On our last morning before departing for a LONG drive home, sometime after midnight we were awakened by the cruise director announcing that they wanted two people to contact the pursers desk. 30 min's later again, and again until they began this inside the cabins also. Asking for people to look in their closets and under beds and on balcony's for these "boy's" who were missing. It seemed that he chimed in about every 30 mins. OK, I know some mother was frantic because her kids were missing and I even worried that they had been thrown overboard. But, no, we were not that lucky, they were found on a life boat supposedly passed out. How in the heck does a kid even get into a life boat??? Well, these two boy's I hope have been banned from Carnival! So needless to say this was the most sour apple for most everyone on board as they came off the ship with no sleep and a long drive ahead of them asking by name for these youngsters who we each wanted to bend over and spank! As for my sister, she never wants to step foot on another ship again. For all she had read up to the trip, she was thinking it was going to be great. Hope she will give RC a try on day. I know she will love it!

Cabin Review

Our cabin did have a great view from the balcony. We were right below the lido deck. I don't however reccomend this levil as you heard rolling carts all night.
