My girlfriend and I just returned from a 7 day cruise on the Century to the Eastern Caribbean. We are in our 50's and have each cruised 3 times previously the last being about 1 1/2 yrs ago on the brand new Star Princess for a 7 day to Mexico. We both work in the tax field and since this cruise left 4/17 we sorely needed a great vacation and we received it.

All of the promos, both advertising and comments on Cruise Critic, had led me to believe that Celebrity would be high on service, dining and a beautiful ship. I also expected mediocre entertainment. For the most part I got what I expected. In summary, the service was excellent, the food could NOT have been better and the ship is gorgeous. I think it was a great cruise value and we would go on Celebrity again without hesitation. We also were impressed with how many fellow cruisers we met that had multiple satisfactory experiences with Celebrity. The one glaring deficiency is the E. Carib itinerary. The port times are too short. Entertainment is just okay.

On to the details. We booked the cruise through an internet agency that we have used before. You can also deal with them on the phone. The agency's price and service was exemplary, however our initial representative at the same agency dropped the ball and needed to be replaced. We booked our own air arrangements to travel from Oakland, Ca to Ft. Lauderdale & our own hotel night in Fla.
