Celebrity's Century was our first cruise. We had been talking about a cruise for the past two years and I don't think we could have been happier with our experience on the Century.

As soon as we boarded her, we were greeted with champagne. After roaming around a little, we found our room, #1062, on the Penthouse Deck. Our luggage was already there and so was Lawrence, our butler. I can't say enough about Lawrence... he was wonderful. We had fresh fruit in our room every day, tea every day at 4 and hors d'oeuvres at 5:00. He was always there when we had questions, he was pleasant, knowledgeable, and attentive. He brought us our coffee every morning, exactly as we liked it, along with our breakfast. I requested strawberries one morning with my oatmeal and he brought a bowl of strawberries, blackberries, red raspberries, and blueberries! He's been on the Century for 8 yrs and with Celebrity for 15. Our room attendant was Natasha, who did a great job. She was in the room twice a day and was always a hero for leaving candy on the pillows each evening.

Our first day at sea was glorious. We actually didn't do much of anything except roam around the ship and relax on the verandah. We had lunch in the Island Buffet and although we didn't eat there every day, when we did, it was a good variety of food and the desserts were oh-so-good. Our first formal evening was fun, had our pictures taken, and the food was delicious. Lucie was our waitress and extremely attentive. My husband is slim and she just thought she had to fatten him up. I think she hugged him every single day!
