Please enter your review.Just got off the POA on Saturday. This was our 6th cruise and our 2nd on NCL. A quick summary would be that we would have never gotten to 4 islands if we did not cruise. It is the most economical way to see Hawaii because Hawaii is EXPENSIVE! The ship itself is very patriotic and well appointed. It is aging and you can see where. The Liberty dining room is more personable and elegant than the busy skyline dining room. Both offer the same menu. Food overall on this cruise was just so-s0. Nothing jumps out at me to remember. Breakfast was the same each morning and got boring after about day 3. Go to the very back of the ship outdoors and have breakfast out there. It is too crazy inside and they did run out of food on a couple of days. PEOPLE- its a buffet! No need to pile food on as if its your last meal! The amount of waste is sinful! Cabins- the smallest I have ever been in! Thank goodness we had a balcony which gave us a few extra feet. We had 3 of us and we were cramped! No shelves in the bathroom so very little space for any toiletries. The shower was either scalding hot or there was no hot water. Take your pick.Room stewards just OK.One night we had sand all over from the day at the beach and our steward said she couldn't vacuum until morning because it would disturb other people. At 7:00 pm???????? Oh well. Entertainment- Very mediocre. Broadway shows were good- singers. No sets or dancing of any kind. Cruise director was phoney. Comedienne Chris Alpine was funny but not rolling in the aisles funny. Anyone ever hear Sarge? OMG- wet your pants funny. The magician was pretty good and that was the extent of the shows. No casino or Bingo on this ship as Hawaii does not have any gambling. Big money loss for the cruise industry I would guess. Poolside games and entertainment were short and not too fun. Shops- Newbury shops were pitiful. I love to shop and I didn't find anything I even WANTED to buy. Pearl diver was good. Twice they reduced the price from 14.95 to 9.95. Pick an oyster and get a pearl. I got 2 nice sized pink pearls. Best deal off all! No alcohol for sale to bring home. I'm guessing because its Hawaii. We have been spoiled by the Caribbean cruises and the cheap prices on alcohol. Service- overall no complaints. People warned us about seeing a big difference in the "all American" crew. They work just as hard and try just as hard to ensure good service. Sure, theres a few that could care less but thats true everywhere. Public Rooms and Pools- Very pretty, from the carpet to the furnishings. Brightly colored and tropical. Pools are freshwater. Couldn't get near them because of the children playing ball. The Oasis pool at the back of the ship was nice but that too became very crowded. The Santa Fe spa was lovely. I had a massage and ginger lime scrub which was to die for! Spendy but worth every penny! The islands are beautiful. I would like to see this cruise extended to 9-10 days. I missed the Sea Days and felt rushed and busy all the time. Honolulu is a mess with heavy traffic and road construction. If you love to shop Kalakaua Ave. is the place for you! Overall I would give this cruising experience 5 out of 10.
