Not sure how to start this review because I've read so many and realize how subjective cruising experiences are to the individual. Also, there were things that influenced our experience too. I got really sick two days before we left but what are you going to do? I was doing better by the time we boarded but still coughing. My husband also started getting the same cold a couple days into the cruise.

We forgot to order our transfers ahead of time so we just took a taxi and guess what? It's cheaper than the Princess transfers. We also arrived very quickly. Last year our cruise transfer with Royal Caribbean took two hours from the time our plane landed to get to the ship. Part of that was getting our luggage. Anyway, the boarding the ship was a breeze, we got to the ship around 3:00 pm and basically walked right on. After flying all night and feeling under the weather we went right to our room which appeared to be clean and tidy. The bedspread was gross looking so we took it off immediately. It look old and well used. We loved the bed and the duvet. We preferred our balcony on our RC cruise better because no one can look down on you or you them. Our Caribe deck balcony at least had partial privacy and was quite large so that was nice. Our room steward knocked on our door right after we arrived and introduced himself. He was Nelson that I'd heard others talk about highly so I had equal high hopes. Sadly he proved to be barely marginal in his level of service. He left dirty dishes in our room all day til evening when I put them outside. He only changed our sheets once during the whole cruise. If I'd felt better I would have said something. I also was uncertain as to what their protocol was. One of the things we liked better about RC was the shower. Princess has a shower curtain and a tiny shower. The shower curtain is always attacking you while you are trying to shower! On RC you have a round shower with a glass door and albeit a tight squeeze my husband and I both fit in it. Hey, we were on our honeymoon of course we showered together!

The ship is quite confusing and large at first, but after a couple days we got the hang of it. It was nice to have lots of little places to get away and have several pool and hot tub choices although to be honest we never used them. LOL! We didn't last year either.
