Having completed 5 cruises on NCL Dawn, it was at first exciting to anticipate a new NCL ship! Generally, it met our expectation.
Embarkation: Generally, all went smoothly. We arrived very early. The improvements to the terminal, removal of the loft area, was an improvement, however, for me, the lack of coffee and refreshment stand was disappointing. Slim picking from the ship, orange juice and hot chocolate and some cake, was unexpected having had coffee, tea and finger sandwiches in the past. The glass of champagne once on board was a nice touch.
State room: Our first time in an inside cabin. Amazingly, everything did fit, contrary to our expectation based on several threads read. Can't compare to other lines or other ships but, all that can be said, if you are used to room to move around in, with the beds pushed together in a full configuration, it is tight to get around. Our cabin had the extra drop down bed for a third passenger, bumped my head several times. Our stewards did what they could to make our stay pleasant, however, embarkation day is hard to get everything ready.
