Although we prefer Holland America, the cruise met our basic expectations. Everything was good. I would recommend doing a planned excursion in Belize, as the city is not as touristy as other ports. It seems that RC has monopolized the port, which was a bit disturbing considering the low employment rate of the people who live in Belize City.

Our head waiter Sandip and waiter named Walter were excellent, and very accommodating. The food was just good. It seems the menu is very safe and geared toward small town America taste and the portions were too big. (unless you were trying to gain even more weight)

RC has a terrible policy on tips. Make sure you put your tips on your sea pass before the last few days otherwise you have to get the tips in cash. RC was extremely unaccommodating with allowing to put the tips on the sea pass after the expiration time. (I am responsible for not reading the paperwork on this issue) I thought that was a terrible way to treat employees. The staff was great but I noticed that our stateroom attendant was working around the clock He was there at 6am and I would often see him after 10pm. It made me feel like RC didn't give employees the respect due via both time and money. I don't have any facts to base this feeling on, but it did seem unfair.
