Traveled with children

My husband and I along with our 5 children ranging in ages from 12-21 sailed the Century and we were all disappointed in our vacation. Bottom line to everything up...the larger ships have much more going on for all ages. We had bad weather so laying out in the sun wasn't an option. There was very little to do inside. The food was OK, nothing really to rave about except the sushi bar which was terrific. Breakfast was fair, but the AquaSpa Cafe was great. I have been on the Zenith about 10 years ago and remember Celebrity to have outstanding food. Too bad we can't say the same this time. The staff were pleasant but not friendly in general. The dining room staff made us feel as if we were bothering them for any requests made to them after the initial order was taken. The spa was just too expensive for me, but I did have a $45.00 manicure which lasted no more than 30 minutes and felt like a rip off compared to the 15.00 bucks we all pay at home. The gym was good. Our three staterooms all had individual problems that were eventually resolved, but still a hassle. I enjoyed the Jewel of the Seas..and The Enchantment of the Seas RCL much better. Even the Disney Wonder was better than this ship! Guest services had been contacted regarding our issues. All we got from them is a phone message letting us know that our complaints had been forwarded to the company office. We never heard or received any kind of restitution for our many problems, (too numerous to mention here.)
