Ship Facts: Carnival Pride Review (by Cruise Critic!) | Carnival Pride Deck Plans
Carnival Pride - Mexican Riviera
As this being my second cruise and my husband's first we were very excited to be on the Pride. My father, whom was with us, is an avid cruiser and has spent many nights aboard the Pride. We arrived for the early check-in and in little time we were outside waiting to board. Upon boarding the ship we were amazed at the decor. There is no other way to say that it is beautiful.

We were expecting a relaxing trip and rather found ourselves running to and from all the many activities going on. From trivia to the mini competitions we always seemed to be laughing and completing for the "ship on a stick." The entertainment was great, there was a little bit of everything for everyone. Our favorite spot was the Ivory Room which hosted the "Piano Man", Wallie B. Never have we made as good of friends as we did in 7 days in a Piano Bar.

For our shore excursions we did the Royal Dolphin Encounter Adventure in Puerto Vallarta. My father was less than excited to do this, however as soon as we saw the sea lions and the dolphins his view quickly changed. There is no way to describe the rush you get when two dolphins push you out of the water by your feet. After the encounter we then were able to play on the waterslides. This was a great way to spend our first morning off the ship. We then went to the ship for a quick change before heading to our next excursion the Tropical Jungle Paradise. This was a rather quick hour ride into the mountains; along the way we were able to see the area away from the tourism. The location was beautiful and amazing. The optional hike was great but be wary of the steep hills and rocks. Also you do cross the water so be prepared. We arrived back to the ship in ample time to get to dinner.

In Mazatlan we did the old Mazatlan walking tour. This was a great tour of the city. It was filled with a ton of history. Once again this is not for someone who doesn't like to walk for 3 hours straight in the hot sun.

Finally in Cabo we took the Chileno Bay snorkeling excursion. This was a nice ride on the catamaran even though there is not enough time for them to turn off the motor and let us actually sail, they do put the sails up. The snorkeling was great. My father had never been snorkeling before and he kept saying "It's just like being in an aquarium." There was a great variety of fish and sea life to be seen.

Overall we have no complaints about our trip other than next time we are going to bring our kids now that we know their kid program is so great. We have already booked our next trip on the Pride again for next September.
