This was my first cruise. I went with my boyfriend and 3 other couples. We had a wonderful time. We live in Texas so we drove to Galveston the morning of the cruise. Parked our cars in EZ Cruise Parking. They were great. Very reasonable and convenient. The ship was nice, a lot of fun, bright colors. Every Carnival employee I encountered was very nice. A lot of them remembered our names and called us by them every chance they got. There were a lot of activities onboard the ship. No chance to get bored. Our two stops were very different but both great. Progresso is a little more old Mexico, which I loved. Very primitive with lots of street vendors. We found a nice spot on the public beach and waiters came right up to us. We didn't have to go far for anything. Cozumel was very contemporary and beautiful. The water is amazing, almost doesn't look real! We went to Mr. Sancho's, 15 minute cab ride. We had a wonderful waterside table with waiters. Shopping right there on the beach, clean bathrooms.

The rooms on the ship were much bigger than I had imagined. The bed was AWESOME!!!! So comfortable, we slept like babies all week. Our room was always immaculate and very cute towel animals every day! The food was great in the dining room, a lot of variety. We didn't have one bad meal the whole week. The deck restaurants were good too. The pizza and sandwiches in the back of the ship were also great. The only thing I was disappointed in was the Caribbean band didn't play enough. Our group spent a lot of time on the Lido deck just relaxing and it would have been great if they had played more. They only played a couple of hours a day. They were good though when they did play. The casino slots were a little tight, didn't pay much but still fun to play.

Boarding the ship was a breeze, much easier than expected. Leaving the ship was a very different story. I've been out of the country many times and never waited so long to go through customs. From the time our group was called to leave the ship at 10:20am, it took two full hours of standing in a very slow moving line to finally get through. Then about 30 more minutes to get back to our car. We were finally on the road by 1pm. Long, tiring morning but a small price to pay for the fun we had! I will definitely cruise again and most likely on Carnival.
