This was my first cruise with Carnival and I only have RCC Rhapsody to compare to so keep this in mind when reading.

We, me, my sister and 5 other friends, boarded on November 8 with no problems as expected. The authorities in Galveston are quick and efficient. We were 7 ladies traveling without our hubbies or kids and planned on having a great time. We had a fabulous time on this trip.

Upon boarding, the atrium was actually much smaller and darker than I expected and I found that to be the case in most of the inside public areas of the ship. The ship was impeccably clean and in good order. So my first overall impression was good. Our first stop was to the purser's desk to put some money on our accounts. This was a last minute trip so was planned with a strict budget in mind. This went quickly and painlessly. My only comment about the pursers desk is that when I asked for a print out of my account the next day I was told they couldn't print one for me. I like to check my receipts daily (no matter what my budget is). I found this disturbing. However, the purser did tell me exactly what charges I had made so this satisfied me. Read more
