My now husband and I chose to have our wedding aboard the Ecstasy. We didn't want a big wedding and we didn't want a big stress of planning a wedding. After doing some "research" online, we decided that a cruise would be fantastic. We got great group rates that allowed for some of our family and friends to go with us.(We ended up with a group of 14) After booking the trip, we were sent a wedding package that was great. We got to go through and pick and choose what we wanted for our wedding. So simple! Throughout the rest of the planning and preparing, Carnival and the company they use for weddings, "The Wedding Experience" were great. They kept in contact with us and if we called with any questions, they were friendly and had answers. So, here's where our journey begins!

Wed. Aug 13th- left Oklahoma for Houston TX. We booked a Motel 6 online. We stayed on the south side of Houston, so that we would miss traffic.

Thurs. Aug. 14th- Left Houston around 8:30am and made great time to Galveston. We pulled directly up and unloaded luggage, the men were taken to a parking lot and then shuttled back. As soon as we got inside, we were greeted by the wedding coordinator. She was perfect! She showed our entire group what to do and our embarkation was quick and smooth. Then, We were taken to two of our cabins for everyone to get ready. The actual wedding was at 1:30 in the library and the reception followed in the Piano Bar. It was AMAZING and everything we could have wanted. Everyone was happy with the day. After the wedding it was time to set sail.
