Sail Date: Aug 2007

There were 6 of us on the 26 Aug sailing of the Pride. My wife and I were in a cat.11 wrap around and my daughter and her friends had a 5A on the same deck(main). We are Platinum members so there was absolutely no wait upon our arrival. We arrived to the pier about 12 noon and boarded immediately. Interestingly enough our VIP boarding was not smooth. The women who took our credit card information some how complicated the procedure, then the computer froze, at that point she did not know what to do and some one else had to take over. It was slightly annoying but really no big deal. At the out set I will say each of us had a fantastic cruise experience. Our age ranges varied from 19 to 58 I mention this so one can see we were quite a varied group. Not everything was great but nothing was bad and the good stuff was really really good. To me food and food service is a very important part of my cruising experience. We had late seating and we all rated the food excellent and the service outstanding. After the first night our waiter remembered each of our names. Again after the first evening the asst. waiter would bring 4 cappuccino's to the table automatically(no charge)The fish and the meat were very good and the warm chocolate melting cake was a huge hit. We rarely at breakfast but had lunch each day on the Lido deck. I loved there steak, had it several times(it is on the grill with the dogs and burgers). We had a huge balcony and only three chairs and a small table. I asked our cabin steward if he could get us a couple of lounge chairs. The next day they appeared almost as if by wizardry on our balcony. Now we were at the back of the ship, the noise and movement never bothered me however my wife did notice the movement on occasion. I went to one midnight show, did not find the comedian funny and left. The Legends show was very good. In P.V. we went on a snorkeling horseback riding tour booked through the internet and it was as advertised. In Cabo we also booked through the internet--"beginning scuba" this was just the best. In Maz we hung at El Cid ate then went shopping. I can honestly say that we never had a dull moment. And as I said earlier not everything was great. But the important stuff was great. I hope this helps.
