Carnival Destiny 5/27/07 A little background: My wife and I chose this cruise for the ports and the destination, and not the ship. We are both in our 40s and enjoy all sorts of travel. We were aware of the reputation for some shenanigans and other irritations, but were surprised and delighted that this was a mostly stress free cruise. We have cruised about 10 times and really enjoyed this cruise.

First I want to answer a few questions. 1. There is a small basketball court on the Destiny behind the slide sky deck. 2. There is some advantage to being on the port side of the ship, as I had a balcony I could watch the island as we arrived in port each day. 3. There is some advantage to having Carnival Air arrange the flight, cost aside, the ship representative told me that they were aware of my late flight and were waiting for us when we got to the ship (more later) 4. There is an adult's only area around the funnel deck, including a canvas screen that would hide topless sunbathing, but it is not labeled topless area. I have photos I will post later 5. Adult's only pool and Jacuzzi at back of ship is supposedly for adults only, but the staff only enforces it if you complain.
