Sail Date: May 2007

We are a married couple in our 30's and this was our Honeymoon.

The trip started off on the wrong foot with American Airlines. We sat at Chicago O'Hare with mechanical issues for two hours. Luckily, we did get two San Juan around 5:30 PM......two hours later than scheduled. By the time we retrieved our luggage and caught a cab it was 6:30 PM when we reached the Destiny.

Our first impression was that is was a very nice ship for being 11 years old. The embarkation process was a breeze and we had no wait. We had already completed our "funpass" and literally walked up to the counter to get out "sign and sail" card. From there we showed our passports and had our pictures taken. The whole process was smooth. We went to our cabin (8224) to drop off our carry ons and then up to deck 9 to grab a bite to eat. We opted for the pizza and it did not let us down. In fact we probably ate there every day we were on the ship! When we went back to the room we found our luggage already being dropped off and our room steward (Luis) was in the hall outside our room introducing himself.
