I first want to say the food in the main dining area (with wait staff) was very good, escargot, prime rib, lobster tail etc. The service was fantastic, thanks to Zelner (?spelling) and John. Our cabin was kept fairly clean. The public areas were very clean with the exception of the pools, they were loaded with sunscreen oil etc, that is not the fault of the cruiseline and we thought they may have drained the pool each night???. It's hard not to go right to the disappointments with any review. I was disappointed in the entertainment. I don't care for singing and dancing or juggling, rock climbing etc. The days at sea were loaded with passengers around the pool and no chairs to be had. They claim if a chair was unoccupied for 30 minutes they would pick up the towel reserving them, but I never saw that happen. I went to a demonstration on sushi making that was good. I also went to a cupcake decorating class and line dancing. I have to say overall we enjoyed ourselves and it is what you make it. Here is what is going to keep us from going back.....we felt nickeled and dimed to death. Everything had an upgrade, it seemed tacky time after time and we were unimpressed. Then we felt obliged to tip despite having $12 per person per day added on for gratuities. A 16 oz miller light was over $7 without the tip. Exercise class was extra! The drinks are where they make their money. Any crew member we met were very good to us.
