My family and I went on a cruise last week on RC Brilliance of the Seas from the port of Tampa. This was not our first cruise, but it was the first cruise with RC and I have to say we were all shocked at how poorly this company was run. The rooms were nice and clean so I can't complain about that, but they no longer give you any amenities in the room. No robes, no free shampoo, conditioner, etc. and no towel animals which I have gotten every night of every cruise I have ever been on! This was just the beginning.

The service on this ship was by far the worst that I have ever encountered. No smiles or small talk from anyone, in fact, most people seemed annoyed by you. The bar staff was busy yes, but waiting 15 minutes to get a drink is crazy. They never looked up to see who just walked up vs. who had been patiently waiting to be served, even if you stayed at the bar and had drinks, you had to get their attention to get another and they had no clue what you ordered even after 3 or 4 drinks. If you had your soda cup visible, forget it, they didn't even want to bother with you. They were borderline rude and in talking to the people around us, we were not the only ones that thought so.

We were also highly displeased with the food on this cruise. I have had TV dinners better than most dinners we had in the dinning room. The food tasted freeze dried and they just poured some sauce over it and served it with mashed potatoes and 2 carrot sticks and a piece of broccoli. No lobster was served on formal night like all the other cruises I have been on, nothing special at all. The buffet was the same every night, but still better than the dinning room. The dinning room service was just as poor as the rest of the ship. No smiles or small talk, they said their lines but there wasn't anything behind it. They just wanted to rush you in and out and turnover the table.
