Royal Caribbean no longer uses "royal connect phones"…. They offer ship wifi for $10 per device per day. You can access wifi only on the ship….if you use an iPhone…this allows you to text other iphone/apple devices that use iMessage (note: sms does not work while at sea thru this service). It is unlimited wifi….so you can get email, surf, etc….but it is not good enough to stream movies/games.

Review of Oasis:

This ship is very large, and it pretty. The A/C on the ship was poor….everywhere….especially cabins with balconies. This was a common complaint. Food on the ship was ok to subpar. Do NOT waste your money on Chops grill….the food was a total joke….just terrible. The header liner show was poor….a puppet show that was not very good….the ship's "Go Fly With Me Show"….was pretty good. The sports area on the ship is the best of any cruise line……with a full size basketball court. The ship staff are not very friendly…..and the bartenders are very slow. This ship caters to the 55+ age group. Excursions are more limited due to the size of the ship. The Oasis cannot dock in smaller Caribbean Islands, and has to dock on the other side of St. Thomas….so this limits offerings. Note: Nassau Bahamas stop was the worst….the entire place is under construction. The Oasis is like the "death star" pulling into a garage sale at this port. There is nothing to do there, other than go to the Atlantis Hotel….and the excisions for that are way over priced….plus the ship is only in port for about 4 hours.
