This was our 3rd cruise (2nd one with RCI) The Oasis was huge, beautiful and LOTS to do/offer . The staff was great.. very friendly and helpful. Even with approx 5000 passengers we never felt cramped but the one place that we felt having so many on board was an issue was in the meal areas. I felt like I was eating in a college cafe. The prime rib (on both nights) was terrible.. we all sent our meals back (as did the folks at surrounding tables) It actually looked like ham steak (in texture) it was tough and had no flavor. We were all very disappointed with this because in the past we had always had wonderful prime rib.
One of my key complaints as a diabetic was the fact that there was little choice for sugar free items and there was only ONE choice daily and it was so bland!!!!! These ships are known for amazing chefs from all around the world.. it's so hard to believe that they were unable to help those of us out that also wanted a treat after dinner.
The ship was really beautiful and the shows were amazing ! One of the things we look for when choosing a ship is a solarium (adults only area) and the Oasis has a huge solarium however the staff did nothing to keep out kids. Amazing how some people think their kids are "special" and are not included in the no one under 16 rule. We got tired of running kids and screaming babies in this area and had to keep going to find staff to fix the problem.
