INTRO We enjoyed "cheaping out" with a inside cabin ,our first, on the Regal . We have come to believe that the cruise brand matters less then the age of the ship . As a large new ship Regal has the latest when it comes to food options . We had lots of fun although there were only 3 port stops and an older clientele on board . Weather was great .

Pre-Cruse -We left on Saturday . Having boarded the plane leaving Montreal ,we were told that the Toronto had lost power and was closed . We were told to sit tight. And told again. Finally 80 minutes later we were told all was OK. We just made the connecting flight . It turned out they held the flight because the crew was on our flight.

We rented a car from National which was much better then Alamo . No horrible lines . We stayed with family in North Miami rather then spend $275 + for a Holiday Inn Express in Fort Lauderdale . In other words , hotel prices were nuts. Rental drop-off and port shuttle were easy and quick.

Interior

Cabin ID

This was a sideways interior cabin , A217 on the 12th deck. Brilliantly laid out almost like a studio apartment , you enter into the "bedroom". Behind the TV, table wall is the dressing area and bathroom . The only issue is the door swings open towards the bed . If it swung the other way , you would have more privacy. Huge TV with a huge selection of movies and other entertainment. We heard no noise . Door could be better sealed for light and noise. A/C not as cold as it should be. Lots and lots of storage space.
