Wow, what can I say, this worst cruise ship I have ever been on and we cruise extensively on luxury lines including Seabourne, Windstar and Silversea. Silversea will be in trouble if they do not buy new ships...this old boat needs to be retired. Worse part was we loved the Silversea Spirit cruise we took in 2012 (newest boat) and recommended to friends and spent a sizable amount on a very disappointing experience, the sad part was no one seemed to care in upper management, and a few had an attitude. We had cabin water issues flooding, brown water and no water on the morning we got off the ship. The A/C was awful in the room, never cooling down and hard to sleep at night and we reported it several times and were told the temp was 68 degrees, at 68 I would have been in a coat! The service was very sporadic going from excellent (we truly had a handful of people that were outstanding including our butler, dinner service in main restaurant and the pool attendent) to unbelievably bad...taking 2 hours to get dinner on two occasions, once when we were one of 2 tables in the restaurant. Toilets on board I had 3 instances of non working once I was seriously flooded. The staff in general seemed to be uninformed, I understand newness however do they not train or mentor? The food in general was excellent, however the wine they were serving was unacceptable for $1000 a day cruise, Chardonnay was a bottle I could buy for $6.98 at home. I could go on but I did complain to Guest Relations Manager upon our return, she was wonderfully sympathetic and offered us $1200 off a future cruise but I will think long and hard before I entertain Silversea again. We are in our 50's and were easily almost the youngest people on the cruise and travel the world extensively...there were some wonderful employees but in general missed our expectations.
Balcony was awesome, A/C pathetic, water issues. Butler fantastic
