We went with a group, and all but one couple, were first time cruisers. We were impressed at how quickly we got through the line for embarkation. Once on the ship, we were in awe at how nice it was. When we were able to get into our cabin, it was a pleasant surprise at how roomy it was. We had a balcony (we couldn't cruise again without one) and it was so nice to sit out there and just relax. Our first night at sea was spent just walking around in awe and checking everything out on the ship. And, when it came time to turn in for the night, we were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable the king size bed was. The nights on the ship were the best sleep I've had in a long time (and since returning home).
We were very impressed at how organized everything went -- from embarkation to debarkation. Of course, we don't have any other cruise to compare this with, but our overall experience was very good. Todd, the cruise director, does a wonderful job in keeping people informed and he always seems very upbeat.
San Juan was our first stop. We did a little tour of old San Juan and then got back on the ship. It's an okay area but the shops were closing early so we didn't spend much time there. It was kind of a waste of time to even stop in San Juan.
