This was pretty much a last minute (1 month) decision. This was a very good cruise for the price. The port is very convenient for us and embarkation proceeded smoothly. We arrived around 1:30 and started our venture with a relaxing drink in the atrium just people watching. Our cabin was ready for us when we were ready to go there. The ship is pretty easy to get around with dead ends only on 2 or 3 decks that needed to be gotten around by going up or down a couple of decks. Easy to get used to. I found the décor a bit confusing until someone explained it to me (a garden theme), but all I saw was a bit of deco with some French Bordello designs. Oops!

Overall, the ship is lovely and except fort he customer service staff, the staff was quite good. The cabin stewards, bartenders and main dining staff were truly wonderful. Grand Turk was a new port for us and I would like to see and learn more about the island, but we'd been to the others and truly enjoyed revisiting them. There is an awful vibration at the tables located near the windows in the main dining room that really could not be felt in other areas of the room or ship. The entertainment onboard was not up to what I have experienced on other ship sailings. In fact, except for certain individuals, it was mediocre at best. Kind of a disappointment. I no longer expect Broadway quality, but I've seen better grade school performances. But there is plenty of other ways to spend your time and to entertain yourself. Overall, this ship and worth booking..

Cabin 6B

We were very pleasantly surprised at the size and layout of our cabin. It had a full sofa and a refrigerator which we did not have in an equal cabin on the Paradise. We especially love the linens and pillows that Carnival uses and treated ourselves to an early Christmas present when we got home. Ordered 4 king-size pillows for our bed. The bathroom was average but had a nice vanity with plenty of storage for personal items and is stocked with body wash and shampoo in the shower. There also is a safe in the room along with plenty of closet and drawer storage for clothes.
