8 day Repo cruise on the carnival splendor, NYC to san juan  Done about 25-30 cruises, on all the major lines except premium {e.g. Crystal, SilverSeas,Oceana).

Collectively, this one had the best overall entertainment of any of them. Live music everywhere and not a weak link in the bunch. I didn't know there could be so many places on a cruise ship to fit a band and singers. The orchestra was terrific. I used to think RCI had the best overall entertainment. now, not so sure. A very attractive black woman sang motown in different venues and a motown revue the final night and was outstanding. A philipino girl with one guy backing her up on the key board and vocals had a stunning voice..sang Whitney Houston's "I will always love you" in the atrium and was phenomenal..everyone stood up to give her a standing O. The salsa bands were great.

The cast of singers and dancers were good...didn't go to the show with the juggler. Don't do jugglers, hypnotists , sword swallowers, knife throwers or any other carny and county fair acts that the cruise lines get on the cheap since the catskills have pretty much closed down. . Read more
